About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced nursing leader to join Cabrini Malvern as the Nurse Unit Manager of 3 Central – a 33-bed ward that provides specialised care for patients with a wide range of neurological and general medical conditions, including stroke recovery.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where complex medical and neurological care intersect. You will be instrumental in ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality, and compassionate care, tailored to the unique needs of this diverse patient population.
Salary range: $127,372 – $135,086 per annum, plus superannuation (in accordance with the Cabrini Acute Care Nurses & Midwives EBA).
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of nurses
Oversee the delivery of care for patients with neurological conditions, stroke, and general medical illnesses
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive best practice and integrated care
Foster a culture of clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
Contribute to the strategic direction and performance of the ward
About you;
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum 5 year’s experience in an acute medical and/or surgical unit (essential)
Post Graduate qualifications in Neuroscience /Leadership or Management desirable (or working towards)
Proven ability to lead and influence a team towards positive patient outcomes
Strong communication, organisation, and decision-making skills
Resilient, adaptable, and motivated to thrive in a dynamic clinical setting
