Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 7 Lead Nurse within the Stowmarket Community Integrated Team.
Based at Stowlodge in Stowmarket, you will be expected to manage and lead a team of Community Nurses and support staff to meet the nursing needs of the local community.

Main duties of the job
- Responsibility for providing nursing services within the Integrated team to the local community, including developing and implementing new initiatives.
- Supporting, maintaining, and developing best practices among the team to ensure quality care for patients, carers, and families.
- Managing and overseeing complex cases, liaising with specialist services and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care, while supporting staff to handle complex patient needs confidently.
- Acting as a role model, motivating, and empowering staff within the Nursing and wider Integrated Neighbourhood Team.
- Supporting the further development of the Integrated Team, welcoming new services and staff.
- Working professionally with different disciplines, professionals, and organizations to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience (Essential)
- Experience leading a community team
- Proven experience practicing as a qualified District Nurse or equivalent
- Management of complex patients within an Integrated Neighbourhood Team
- Advanced clinical assessment skills
- Understanding of local and national priorities for patients with long-term conditions
- Ability to manage people and provide high standards of care
- Ability to work within the Alliance to develop services and improvements
- Excellent communication skills
Knowledge and Experience (Desirable)
- Experience with interview and recruitment
- Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act
Qualifications (Essential)
- Current NMC registration
- Nursing Degree or relevant experience
- Specialist Practice Qualification in District Nursing
- Prescribing qualification (V100 or V300)
- Evidence of CPD and ability to teach and assess learning
Qualifications (Desirable)
- Additional leadership/management qualification
- Tissue viability or leg ulcer management training
- Teaching, learning, and assessing qualification (Level 7 or PGCE)
