Job summary

KIMS Hospital in Maidstone is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our HDU and surgical inpatient wards. The role combines enhanced monitoring with perioperative and postoperative care, requiring clinical confidence, adaptability and commitment to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration and nursing degree.
• Post-registration experience in acute clinical settings.
• Competence in HDU-related skills incl. NIV, arterial line care and central line care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive assessments and evidence-based nursing care.
• Provide specialist HDU care: NIV, arterial line monitoring, central line care and vasoactive infusions.
• Provide postoperative care including pain management, wound care, mobilisation and discharge planning.
• Recognise deterioration and escalate promptly using clinical pathways.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, maintain records and support patient safety and ongoing professional development.
