Job Description:

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Nurse Deputy Home Manager to work in an exceptional nursing home based in Weymouth, Dorset. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers.

This nursing home specialises in general & dementia nursing, residential, and respite care for the elderly. The home is currently rated as ‘Good’ by CQC.

Qualifications: Must be a qualified Nurse, either RGN or RMN, with a current active NMC Pin.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and deputising for the Home Manager, providing leadership to nursing and care staff, and overseeing high-quality clinical and pastoral care.
  • Acting as the home's nurse expert, combining nursing skills with managerial and leadership abilities.
  • Focusing on residents with complex needs, ensuring compliance with latest guidelines, making decisions, and maintaining clinical governance through audits.
  • Developing care plans and assessments.
  • Providing personalized care to residents alongside the team.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Proven leadership in a care home setting, delivering person-centred care.
  • Experience in clinical assessments and care planning.
  • Ability to engage with residents to understand their needs.
  • Good knowledge of CQC standards.
  • Ability to involve residents and families in care program development and evaluation.
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues, professionals, and families.

The successful candidate will receive an annual salary of £55,000, working full-time, 40 hours per week, from 9 am to 5 pm. Benefits include:
