About the service:

Located in a quiet residential area near Brighton and Worthing, New Elmcroft is a modern, spacious care home with 60 single en-suite bedrooms across six self-contained units, each with its own lounge and dining area. Our highest priority is the individual care of each resident, respecting their privacy and dignity in a warm, welcoming environment.

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Home Nurse to provide high-quality care to elderly residents with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s, or other clinical diagnoses. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our care team to ensure optimal care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess patients' health and care needs and develop personalized care plans
2. Administer medication and monitor responses to treatments
3. Provide nursing care, including wound management and palliative care
4. Coordinate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive care
5. Support residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
6. Offer emotional support to residents and their families
7. Maintain accurate and current records
8. Adhere to Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to uphold high standards
9. Contribute to policy and procedure development and implementation
10. Participate in induction and ongoing training of staff

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer’s and dementia
