Role Description
Join Our Team as a Bank Nurse - Adult or Learning Disabilities
Location:Tadley, Hampshire
Salary:£20.79 per hour plus benefits. Additional £50 per sleep-in shift.
Hours:Shifts vary between 7:00 am and 9:30 pm, Monday to Sunday (on a shift rota basis).
Contract:Part Time, Bank.
Driving Requirement:A valid full UK manual driving license is preferable, but not essential.
Right to Work:Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any skilled worker visas.

We're looking for nurses to join our team who are dedicated and compassionate with a strong character and emotional resilience, who can stay calm under pressure, are enthusiastic and take a proactive approach. If you are a band 5 nurse with experience, looking to specialise in supporting people with disabilities and develop your existing skills, you're exactly who we're looking for.
What will you be doing?
As a nurse,you'll be more than just their support you'll be a key part of someone's journey towards living their best life. Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Daily Care & Support:Assess and deliver health care and support to a core group on 8 individuals on a daily basis.
  • Management of gastrostomy devices, nasogastric tubes, indwelling catheters, nebuliser and oxygen therapy as well as complex nutritional, postural, psychological, palliative and end of life support.
  • As part of the senior team, planning, implementing and evaluating all aspects of support and health care, enabling each individual to enjoy a full and active life.
  • You will be a role model to other staff, mentor, advise and support the development of all workers ensuring consistent standards are maintained at all times.
Who you will be Supporting?
Heather House is a specialist nursing home for 16 young adults living with severe complex neurological, learning and physical disabilities and life limiting conditions, including juvenile CLN3 (Batten) disease, and Rett syndrome.
Our residents love taking part in activities in the home, like music, singing and accessing their own hydro pool. They love taking part in events celebrating Valentines, Easter, Halloween and Christmas. At Christmas time we have our very own wonderland in the garden which is truly magical.
