Job summary

Kingfisher Practice is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse Associate to join our friendly nursing team in a multidisciplinary setting with GPs and other healthcare professionals. The role focuses on high‑quality, patient‑centred care and supports nursing capacity within the practice.

You will develop clinical skills, work with a supportive team and have opportunities to grow professionally as part of our broader practice team.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the NMC and eligible to practice in the UK.
• Experience with ECG, venepuncture, wound care and injections.
• Knowledge of immunisation and screening programmes.

Responsibilities

• To assist and perform routine nursing tasks such as routine BP checks, ECG and suture removal as directed.
• Support patients in improving physical and mental health using behaviour change interventions.
• Implement wound care plans and assess chronic and acute wounds.
• Undertake immunisation programmes under appropriate directives and ensure vaccines are administered correctly.
• Conduct ear irrigation and collect pathology samples as per guidelines.
• Support chronic disease management and health promotion activities within scope of practice.
• Provide contraception advice and participate in cervical screening where appropriate.
• Maintain infection control and ensure accurate notes in patient records.
• Participate in training and development of nursing staff and students.
