We are looking for an experienced NMC registeredNurse Associate to join our forward thinking busy practice run across 2sites. The successful candidate will beworking as part of the Nursing Team delivering care within their scope ofpractice to the registered patient population.As a Nurse Associate you will be a key part of our multidisciplinaryteam delivering high-quality, person-centred care, as well as supporting theclinical team. We are happy to considerboth full time and part time applicants.

Main duties of the job

As an experienced Nurse Associate, you willdeliver holistic nursing care under the supervision of registered professionals. You will be an integral part of our wholeclinical team.

Assist and perform routine tasksrelated to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs

Job responsibilities

Assist and perform routine tasksrelated to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs

Long term condition managementfollowing disease specific algorithms

Following agreed clinician protocolswith referral to GPs or Nurse Practitioners as appropriate

Cytology

Travel Immunisations

Routine immunisations, childhoodimmunisations

Removal of sutures and clips

ECG 12 lead and 24 hours

Venepuncture

Wound care, compression, doppler ABPI

Chaperoning and assisting patientswhere appropriate who are being examined by other clinicians

Other tasks will include:

Maintaining and cleaning equipmentused by the clinical staff

Maintaining clinical rooms, stocking,and rotating items as required

Maintain general tidiness andcleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms

Ordering of vaccinations to maintainstock levels

Participation in administrativesystems in the practice

At all times there will be a need tomaintain accurate records

A duty to advise senior nurses ofpotential problems or errors within the range of assigned tasks

Attend and participate in any practicemeetings when required

On occasions there may be a requirementto undertake home visits

Any other delegated duties appropriateto the post

Qualifications
  • Qualified Nurse Associated Registered with NMC
  • Experience working within an multidisciplinary healthcare team

  • Previous experience in a primary care/GP setting
  • Qualified in venepuncture
