Overview

Join South West Shropshire Community Nursing Team as a Nurse Associate. We have an opening for two passionate and dedicated Nurse Associates to join our forward-thinking team, delivering high-quality planned care to patients in their homes.

You could be part of a team that's supportive and empowering in providing community healthcare. We provide nursing and therapy services that offer an alternative to hospital admission, support timely discharge, and empower individuals to maintain independence in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering evidence-based care across a wide range of clinical needs
  • Supporting patients in their journey to independence in their most appropriate place of care
  • Receiving specialist training in Continence Care & Assessment
  • Collaborating closely with the Continence Nurse to provide timely, targeted care
Qualifications
  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
  • Educated to level 5 Diploma of Higher Education and Foundation degree in nursing associate practice / Nurse Associate Apprenticeship Certificate
  • Demonstrable experience of working as an Nurse Associate within the NHS or other care setting
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of when to seek advice and refer to a registered health or care professional
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player under appropriate supervision, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role contributes to service development
  • IT skills appropriate to the role
  • Ability to meet the travel needs of the role
