Job summary

Donard Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Nurse Assessor to join the Hybrid team as a Functional Specialist. You will perform facial-to-face and virtual assessments for the Governments disability allowance (PIP), delivering unbiased, comprehensive evaluations with empathy and accuracy.

The role offers a starting salary of £39,500 with a potential increase to £40,500 after DWP approval, plus a participative bonus scheme based on quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.
• 1+ years post qualification experience.
• Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
• Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseloads end to end including delivering face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments and paper-based reports.
• Autonomously handle cases with variety and ensure timely conclusions.
• Assess a wide range of health conditions and disabilities across physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive domains.

We are recruiting for hybrid working Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics to make the most of their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a leading, multi-national employer with Full time roles available.

As a Functional Specialist you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Governments disability allowance (PIP) whilst ensuring a personalised, inclusive and empathetic service for the service user.

Your New Role:

As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will manage caseloads from end to end which includes delivering face to face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls and paper based reports (PBR).

As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.

You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.

You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings.
