Job summary

Donard Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Nurse Assessor to join our hybrid team. You will conduct comprehensive assessments for PIP, using your clinical knowledge to deliver unbiased and empathetic service to claimants.

The role requires qualified nursing or allied health professionals with at least 1 year post-qualification experience and registration with NMC or HCPC. Benefits include a starting salary of £39,500 with potential increases and a bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• 1+ years post qualification experience.
• Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
• Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseloads end to end including face-to-face and virtual assessments.
• Conduct telephone assessments and prepare paper-based reports.
• Provide unbiased, comprehensive assessments for PIP eligibility.
• Allocate time for CPD, evidence review and team meetings.

We are recruiting for hybrid working Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics to make the most of their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a leading, multi-national employer with Full time roles available.

As a Functional Specialist you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Governments disability allowance (PIP) whilst ensuring a personalised, inclusive and empathetic service for the service user.

Starting salary of £39,500 + Bonus

Your New Role:

As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will manage caseloads from end to end which includes delivering face to face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls and paper based reports (PBR).

As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.

You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.

You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings.
