Job Overview

As a Functional Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping claimants navigate the claim process by conducting engaging consultations. Your expertise will assist in producing comprehensive health and well-being reports, ensuring claimants receive the support they deserve, all while maintaining your respected healthcare license.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct three comprehensive assessments per day, evaluating clients' physical and mental health to assess their functional abilities.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports based on assessment findings, ensuring clarity and proper analysis of all relevant information.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to develop tailored care plans that address each client's specific needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in functional assessment to ensure high standards of practice.
  • Provide clear explanations to clients regarding the assessment process and outcomes, ensuring they are supported and informed throughout.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to continually enhance assessment skills and professional knowledge.

Essential Criteria
  • Hold a valid licence to practice as an occupational therapist, nurse, physiotherapist, paramedic, or doctor.
  • Be fully registered with the appropriate licensing body (HCPC, NMC, GMC).
  • Have at least one year of post-registration experience.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Possess a valid driving licence or access to reliable transport.
  • Successfully pass a government Baseline Personnel Security Standard vetting, including a DBS or Access NI check.
