Turning Point Scotland are hiring a registered Nurse for our Turnaround Residential Service. You will help provide individualised support to adults, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

TURNING POINT SCOTLAND’S TURNAROUND SERVICE

The Turning Point Scotland Turnaround service delivers focused services that address the complex and interrelated issues of offending behaviour and problematic use of alcohol and other drugs. In 2018, we redesigned our service to also include a Throughcare model.

Since 2007, we have worked alongside councils and social work departments within 22 local authorities including Angus, Argyll & Bute, Clackmannanshire, Dumfries & Galloway, East Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Fife, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire.

ABOUT THE ROLE

A full UK drivers licence and access to own vehicle is desirable, but not mandatory. Since there is no public transport available to our service location, you will need to arrange secure transportation to and from work. As a Nurse, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.

We offer variable working hours with the possibility of working up to full-time hours (37 hours per week). Shift work is involved, which includes 12-hour shifts (8am – 8pm).

We understand that everyone's schedule is unique, so if you are looking for part-time hours, we would be happy to discuss your preferred availability during the interview stage.

Our Nurses are not required to carry out any night shifts therefore you can enjoy your evenings and experience a healthier work-life balance!

We follow a rotating 6-week rota. Your schedule will alternate between working four days in one week and three days in the following week. We believe in fairness and equal distribution of responsibilities.
