An opportunity exists for a Nurse in the Lung Cancer service aimed at early detection of lung cancers. The role involves working 12-hour shifts, providing patient assessments, promoting health initiatives, and ensuring high-quality care. Requires at least 2 years of respiratory nursing experience and a first-level registration.
This role will be fundamental to the delivery and running of a high-quality and effective Lung Cancer service, which aims to identify asymptomatic individuals and provide early diagnosis of lung cancer and other lung diseases.
The purpose of the Lung Cancer Screening Programme is to enable early detection of lung cancer to save lives. The service has been implemented across the UK in areas with high disease prevalence, where early-stage detection can significantly impact outcomes and facilitate curative treatment. Our nursing teams operate a 7-day service, including bank holidays. Candidates must be adaptable to mobile working and willing to work 12-hour shifts as part of the standard pattern.

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 + £4,200 Car Allowance
This role is essential for the effective operation of the Lung Cancer Screening service, aimed at early detection of lung cancer and other lung diseases in asymptomatic individuals.
The programme is designed to recognize early-stage lung cancer, enabling timely and potentially curative treatment. Our nursing teams provide a 7-day service with bank holiday working included. Candidates should be flexible with mobile working and willing to work 12-hour shifts.
