Qualifications

Your new opportunity

William Quarriers Scottish Epilepsy Centre is currently recruiting 2x full time Nurses to assist senior staff in the day to day management of patients in the assessment unit and ensure this work is in line with organisational policies and procedures. You will work with a team of clinical professionals ensuring the patients are receiving the best care during their assessment.

As a Nurse you will lead on the implementation of the nursing process, develop specialised programmes of care and monitor the overall patient experience while liaising with each individual and their families.

Our centre is an independent state of the art facility where we pride ourselves in the care we provide to our patients and the development of our staff. This role would be ideal for Newly Qualified Nurses or Nurses with a particular interest in Neurology and Learning Disabilities.

Working pattern: This is a full time, permanent role offering 39 hours per week. Shifts are 12.5 hours per day, 3 days per week, with a 4 day week every 8 weeks.

What you will need to bring to the role

  • Registered Nurse Registration status maintained by Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Experience of working with people with epilepsy, acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, learning disabilities or challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to lead and develop training programmes geared to the needs of appropriate colleagues and volunteers.
  • Ability to supervise and train support staff
  • Candidates who are about to become newly qualified and receive their registration pins will be considered.
