Job summary

Home Close nursing home, part of Healthcare Homes Group in the UK, is seeking a compassionate nurse to join our team. You will provide person-centred care to residents and support with admissions, discharges and daily care planning.

We offer induction, extensive training, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of our established clinical team. NMC registration and MCA/DoLs knowledge are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration and up-to-date clinical knowledge.
• Experience in creating detailed care plans including risk assessments and diet plans.
• Understanding of MCA/DoLs regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to coach and develop the care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to residents, meeting their physical and psychological needs.
• Administration, documentation and ordering of prescribed medication.
• Support with new admissions and discharges of residents.
• Weekly GP rounds.
• Updating and maintaining resident care plans, liaising with external parties where applicable.

At Home Close. We provide person-centred nursing, residential, respite and dementia care. We have a specialist nursing team and the whole team always work to provide varied and engaging activities and compassionate care centred by respect, dignity and choice.

What would a typical day look like?

Provide support and care to our residents, meeting their physical and psychological needs

Administration, documentation and ordering of prescribed medication

Support with new admissions and discharges of residents

Weekly GP rounds

Updating and maintaining resident care plans, liaising with external parties where applicable

Coaching, supporting and developing our care team to deliver a high standard of care at all times

Our nursing team are the backbone of our home and it is essential that our team have current NMC registrations, up to date knowledge of clinical practices and experience in writing detailed care plans including risk assessments and diet plans. A good understanding of regulatory frameworks including MCA/DoLs is also required.
