Job summary

Proud to Care Devon is seeking a Registered Nurse to work with service users and their families. You may specialise in Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing or Learning Disabilities Nursing. You will undertake clinical and non-clinical tasks, coordinate care with other professionals and promote healthy living.

You will be supported to develop through CPD and training opportunities as part of a compassionate care team in Exeter.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship required.
  • Degree in chosen branch of nursing.
  • Nursing Associate route available.
  • Postgraduate qualification if already holding a degree.

Job description

Overview

You will be working with a wide variety of people including service users (with different needs) and their families. You may choose to specialise in Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing or Learning Disabilities Nursing. Part of your role will be to promote a healthy way of living and to help them tackle behaviours that may cause or exacerbate health issues. You will undertake a range of clinical and non‑clinical tasks including taking blood samples, dressing wounds, and assessing, planning and delivering an individual’s care. You must also coordinate care with other care professionals such as nursing associates, doctors, and social workers.

Salary

A Registered Nurse can earn £18 per hour or more depending on experience, shifts and level of responsibility. The role may require evening, weekend and bank holiday work.
