Job description

Prestwick Care is a successful family-run business. We are a top care home provider based in the North East of England, currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse to work in our care home, Covent House.

Location: Covent House - DH3 2PF

Shift Pattern: 4 Full Time shifts - 2 day and 2 night shifts

Your Duties As a Nurse Will Include
  • Leading, supervising, and training the care team
  • Performing general nursing duties
  • Ordering, storing, and administering medication responsibly
  • Keeping precise, up-to-date records
  • Maintaining the client's dignity and respect at all times
  • Achieving high standards of care through direct nursing and effective supervision
  • Taking management responsibility for shifts as directed
  • Adhering to all relevant policies and procedures, including Safeguarding, Incident reporting, Risk Assessment, and Care plans
  • Working with your line manager and reporting any issues that could affect care quality or safety
About You

You should be a first-level nurse (RMN/RGN/RNLD) with a current PIN. You need to be passionate, well-organized, able to work independently, and make effective decisions within a multidisciplinary team. Staying up-to-date with evidence-based practice and understanding CQC Standards and Regulations is essential. You must be registered with the NMC, have a satisfactory DBS check, and meet the ISA list requirements.
