City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting a Primary Teacher for Support for Learning at Dalry Primary School in Edinburgh. The role is fixed term until 25/03/2027, with pro rata salary for part-time hours (22.74 per week).

Working pattern is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, in the city centre near Haymarket Station. The post focuses on Attainment work with a particular emphasis on Numeracy, supporting pupils through primary stages.

Qualifications

Qualified teacher with significant experience in primary education.
Experience as a Support for Learning teacher is desirable.
Knowledge of current national curricular developments and teaching theory and practice.

Responsabilités

To support and promote high quality teaching and learning, to raise attainment, with a key focus on Numeracy.
To support the implementation of national and local priorities, with a particular focus on Numeracy.
To support identified pupils with their learning and progression in Numeracy.
To assess, record, track and report on the progression of identified pupils.
To work collaboratively with colleagues in the wider school team.
To lead the sharing of best practice in Numeracy support across the wider school team.
To promote the direction, scope and pace of curriculum development across the wider school team with a focus on Numeracy.
To work with and advise colleagues in a professionally supportive and practical manner to ensure best practice in the classroom.
To promote active participation of pupils in classroom experiences.
To meet parents/carers and other professional partners as necessary.
