Job description

Multibillion Hedge Fund is seeking a Number Two to the Head of Product Control

They have an extensive track record of YoY alpha in the double-digit range and are a global fund headquartered in London.

This growth hire is a result of the expansion of the group's trading pods and onboarding of new PMs. As a consequence, the current Head requires a Product Control Manager/Senior Product Controller to support leadership in this function.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily engagement with Investment Pods located on the same floor, leading a team and supporting the Global Head with core Product Control & Valuations activities.
  • Daily review, analysis, and reporting of P&L.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for PMs, the Execution Desk, and the Risk Team regarding real-time P&L and month-end reporting.
  • Conducting valuation analysis and calculating monthly valuation adjustments.
  • Performing independent price verification.
  • Balance sheet reporting.
  • Attribution analysis.
  • Partnering with Technology and Investment teams to implement automation and OMS solutions.

Experience required

  • Solid Product Control experience, either on the sell side or buy side.
  • Experience with daily P&L for trading desks, ideally across multiple desks and products.
  • Aspiring to step into leadership roles and increase contact with trading desks.
  • Interest in multi-strat trading and complex trading models.
