Job summary

Our Client in the UK's nuclear energy sector is seeking a Security Warden to safeguard a highly regulated site, manage visitor access, welcome contractors and maintain accurate security logs. Join an established Security Team; you will hold an SIA licence, demonstrate strong customer service, and follow health, safety and environmental procedures while keeping detailed records.

Shifts run 06:00–14:00 and 08:00–16:00, with training provided and clear opportunities for career progression in a

Qualifications

• SIA licence holder required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work within a professional security team.
• Accurate record-keeping and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
• Good decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and security IT systems.
• Willingness to undertake site-specific training.
• Flexibility to work alternating 06:00-14:00 and 08:00-16:00 shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage visitor and guest access, recording details and security logs.
• Check passes to ensure current validity.
• Maintain written records, pocket books, reports and documentation.
• Follow site security, health and safety and environmental procedures.
• Identify and report safety, security, or environmental issues.
• Plan and prioritise daily responsibilities to meet operations.
• Complete risk assessments and comply with safety controls.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, contractors, visitors and client representatives.
• Contribute to team briefings and continuous improvement.
• Provide out-of-hours support when needed.
