Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Transformation Director for the Nuclear Sector, based in the UK with hybrid working options. You will shape the long‑term transformation strategy, driving sustainable growth, operational excellence and delivery of customer missions across the Nuclear Sector.

This is a senior, full‑time role reporting to the CEO and requiring SC clearance. You will lead sector programs, coordinate with group leadership, and enable change across business units while maintaining a focus on

Qualifications

• Experience leading large‑scale transformation programs at a senior leadership level.
• Strong strategic thinking with ability to identify opportunities for growth, people objectives and customer outcomes.
• Experience within the nuclear industry, including understanding of nuclear safety, regulatory requirements and licensing.
• Proven expertise in strategy development, deployment and execution.
• Strong financial management and commercial awareness, with ability to evaluate investments and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Nuclear Sector transformation strategy and roadmap aligned to priorities and Group objectives.
• Lead sector‑wide transformation programs including investment, risks, dependencies, capacity, outcomes and benefits realisation.
• Provide strategic insight, recommendations and assurance to the Nuclear Sector CEO and Executive Committee.
• Support business unit leaders to mobilise effective change, strengthen delivery readiness and embed improvements.
• Act as the principal interface between the Nuclear Sector and Group leadership on transformation initiatives and priorities.
