Job summary

Rullion Ltd. seeks a Nuclear Safety Senior Consultant to deliver safety consultancy across lifecycle of regulated projects in Warrington, Abingdon or Whitehaven. Hybrid, full-time role starting ASAP, with a focus on producing safety cases and regulatory submissions.

Candidate should have a degree in Engineering/Science and at least 5 years in a highly regulated industry, with strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' professional engineering or technical experience in a highly regulated industry such as nuclear, defence, aerospace, rail, oil & gas, chemicals or pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience producing, reviewing or supporting complex safety cases, technical justifications or regulatory submissions.
  • Good understanding of safety case production processes, risk assessment methodologies and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in decommissioning, optioneering, human factors, radioactive materials transport, licensing and regulatory compliance, waste management or process safety would be advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality safety consultancy across the full lifecycle of complex, highly regulated projects for clients.
  • Produce and lead the development of nuclear safety documentation, ensuring technical excellence and quality throughout all deliverables.
  • Provide safety advice within multidisciplinary project teams, working with engineers, human factors specialists and other disciplines.
  • Develop clear, robust safety arguments to support safety cases and regulatory compliance.
  • Carry out technical checking and verification to ensure compliance, quality and completeness of documentation.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to manage progress and support governance and assurance processes.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across projects.
  • Support business development by identifying opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
  • Deliver work to timescales and budgets while maintaining high standards of technical excellence and customer service.

Role information:
