On a typical day, you might produce hazard assessments or author complex safety cases, justifying and supporting critical decision-making in the design, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. You may also influence the client’s strategic direction to support obtaining a nuclear site license for innovative designs, network to develop the business pipeline, or deliver technical presentations to regulators.
This role offers opportunities to work with diverse clients from defence, nuclear generation, and new build projects, including fusion and SMR markets. You will support technical delivery, address complex problems, and present solutions to stakeholders. You will aim to deliver excellent technical work, paying attention to detail while considering the bigger picture.
You will also have the chance to contribute to and learn from the wider technical community within AtkinsRéalis, leveraging global expertise to foster collaboration. Additionally, you will develop and mentor junior engineers, supporting growth and enhancing project delivery capabilities while strengthening your leadership skills.
