Job summary

Westlakes Recruit is recruiting a Project Quality Engineer for a leading nuclear organisation. Bristol-based with UK travel to deliver quality across projects, manufacturing, construction and supplier environments to embed a Right First Time culture.

You will support the Project Quality Manager, ensuring compliance and high standards of quality, safety and delivery across major nuclear programmes.

Qualifications

Experience implementing quality programmes and processes.
Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 19443.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
Excellent communication and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Support the development, implementation and maintenance of project quality processes.
Monitor manufacturing and installation activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Support inspection, testing, NDT and dimensional checks, including quality records.
Ensure projects follow approved procedures, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Identify quality issues proactively and support resolution and continuous improvement.
Monitor project quality KPIs and prepare performance reports.
Provide feedback to project teams and management on quality performance and concerns.
Support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Work with manufacturing, construction and quality teams.
Visit suppliers and project sites to assess quality and process performance.
Support development of nuclear safety and quality culture.
