Job summary

Mott MacDonald in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in the Energy Unit within the Nuclear, Defence and Civil division. The role focuses on delivering complex, highly regulated projects safely and in line with company procedures.

You will set execution strategy, mitigate business risks, manage stakeholders, and ensure projects meet scope, cost, schedule and quality requirements while maintaining CDM compliance and strong client engagement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success managing outcomes of complex projects in highly regulated industries, preferably nuclear.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Eligibility to apply for and obtain Security Clearance.
• Degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in project management or an engineering-related discipline.
• Professional accreditation with a recognised body (e.g., APM, RICS).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a capable and effective integrated project team.
• Develop and execute strategies and plans to meet project baselines.
• Lead delivery teams to ensure projects meet scope, cost, schedule, and quality requirements, adhering to legislation and company procedures.
• Provide accurate and timely project performance updates and reports.
• Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.
• Identify risks, issues, and potential concerns early and implement corrective actions to protect project baselines.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, legislation, and engineering standards.
• Work closely with project and engineering managers, as well as other project disciplines.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.
