Job summary

EDF is recruiting for a Construction Area Manager to support the delivery of one of Europe’s largest nuclear projects at Hinkley Point C in Somerset, United Kingdom. You will oversee a designated construction area, coordinating multiple contractors to ensure safe, on-time delivery in line with programme and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will lead site activities, manage interfaces between teams and client representatives, and promote a positive safety

Qualifications

SSSTS, SMSTS and NEBOSH qualifications are required.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Experience supervising construction activities on major projects is required.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination is expected.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all construction activities within a designated project area.
Ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with procedures and standards.
Monitor progress against programme milestones and drive delivery to achieve objectives.
Manage interfaces between contractors, supervisors, engineers, and client representatives.
Conduct daily site walk-downs and progress reviews.
Identify and resolve construction issues impacting schedule, quality, or safety.
