Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board in Wales invites applications for a Band 5 Clinical Technologist or Radiographer to join our Nuclear Medicine Physics service at University Hospital of Wales. You will contribute to imaging, non-imaging and therapy services and support patients with preparation and care.

You will work with highly specialised equipment, handle hazardous materials safely, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will contribute to clinical, technical and quality assurance.
• Undertake and deliver imaging, non-imaging and therapy services for all types of patients.
• Provide patient support, counselling and welfare, ensuring correct preparation ahead of complex examinations.

Responsibilities

• Work independently within scope of practice using highly specialised nuclear medicine equipment.
• Differentiate between technical and clinical problems and liaise with qualified colleagues as required.
• Deal with patients and relatives with tact and empathy, including paediatric and geriatric cases.
