Under the direction of a qualified physician, performs imaging procedures to produce scanograms and measures concentration of radionuclides in specified body areas, according to technical and professional standards. Measures radioactive dosage prescribed for patients with a dose calibrator. Positions equipment and patients to produce diagnostic quality images. Administers pre-medication and radiopharmaceuticals.
Education
Bachelor's Degree, Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Program.
Experience
One to two years of experience.
Licensure
Licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Health. Certified ARRT (N) and/or CNMT registered. CPR certification (BLS) required and ACLS preferred.
