Job summary

Springfields Fuels Ltd in Salwick Preston, GB, is seeking a Laboratory Quality Manager to drive high‑quality analytical results for nuclear fuel products and supervise a small team on site.

You will manage the QMS, ensure ISO 17025/9001/14001/45001 and NQA1 compliance, and act as main contact for auditors and UKAS. The role reports to the Operations Manager within C&MSD and is based onsite at Springfields Fuel Site.

Qualifications

• Degree (2:2) in a scientific or quality discipline and at least 2 years on an operating site, or 5–10 years in quality management.
• Working knowledge of quality management principles and systems.
• Experience maintaining or auditing quality systems to ISO 17025, ISO 9001 or ISO 14001.
• Understanding of Health and Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Coordinate ISO 17025/9001/14001/45001 and NQA1 compliance.
• Lead internal audits and external assessments.
• Provide training on quality systems and root-cause analysis.
• Report quality metrics to senior management.
