About The Business Unit

The Energy unit provides services globally across sectors like hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation, and transmission & distribution. We deliver integrated engineering and project management from conception to decommissioning, supporting the global energy transition.

About This Role

Due to new projects and growth, we seek Nuclear HVAC Engineers to join our Nuclear Defence and Civil division. This role offers the chance to work on innovative projects in defense and nuclear new-build industries, contributing to high-profile engineering challenges while advancing your career within a supportive organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate on HVAC engineering aspects of multi-disciplinary design projects from feasibility to detailed design.
2. Assist senior engineers in delivering project programs.
3. Create high-quality design and technical documentation, including calculations, drawings, basis of designs, and reports.
4. Work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop suitable engineering solutions.
5. Visit client sites as needed and foster client relationships.
6. Prioritize safety in engineering design and project execution.
7. Present and defend solutions in client-facing environments.
8. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Candidate Requirements

1. Degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
2. Progress towards professional accreditation (Chartered/Incorporated) with bodies like IMechE or CIBSE.
3. Experience in regulated environments, ideally nuclear but also oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or rail.
4. Knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and engineering principles, including nuclear ventilation standards.
5. Experience with design software such as H2X, MagiCAD, IES, Pipenet.
6. Revit and AutoCAD skills are advantageous.
7. Strong communication skills.
8. Familiarity with Building Regulations and legislation.

This role involves working on impactful nuclear HVAC projects, requiring UK Security Clearance due to project sensitivity.
