Job summary

Morson Group is seeking an Emergency Preparedness Advisor for a site-based contract in Bridgwater, Somerset, embedded within the CommOps function of a Nuclear New Build project. Role involves developing and implementing emergency arrangements to support commissioning and pre-operational activities.

You will work with commissioning teams to exercise and strengthen the emergency culture, ensuring readiness of operational teams to maintain, commission, and operate the plant with robust

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC qualification in a STEM subject; degree preferred.
• Experience developing emergency arrangements in large, regulated construction projects (nuclear, Oil & Gas, PetroChem).
• Knowledge of COMAH, Civil Contingencies Act, REPPIR, Nuclear Site Licence Requirements, CDM Regs.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Skilful stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Support the emergency preparedness strategy and project plan delivery.
• Monitor facilities and equipment delivery, identify risks and mitigations.
• Assist in Licence Condition 11 transfer from construction to operations.
• Contribute to proof-of-concept testing for emergency facilities and equipment.
• Support interfaces with regulators and external bodies.
• Provide input to training teams to ensure readiness of the emergency organisation.
• Support development and execution of emergency programmes.
• Develop emergency preparedness documentation and procedures.
