Cavendish Nuclear, part of the Babcock International Group, is recruiting an Electrical Control and Instrumentation Technician for our Leicester site. The role focuses on testing and fault-finding analogue electronic systems used in critical defence and nuclear operations, with on-site work at Whetstone, Leicester.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• HNC level study in relevant electrical or electronic modules is desirable.
• Additional testing or diagnostic qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Test analogue PCBs and electrical equipment against approved procedures.
• Investigate faults and repair analogue electronics using test equipment.
• Verify test results through peer checks and evidence-based reporting.
• Record step-by-step fault investigations and corrective actions.
• Produce detailed technical reports with root-cause analysis.
