Job summary

JAM is seeking an EC&I Technician to join a leading nuclear engineering organisation based in Cumbria. The role focuses on maintaining and verifying radiation protection instruments within a safety-critical environment, ensuring reliability and compliance with site procedures.

You will repair, calibrate and test instruments, keep accurate records, and provide technical updates to customers. Security Check clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent training in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
• Proven experience servicing electronic instrument systems.
• Knowledge and understanding of conventional and nuclear safety.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, calibrate and test radiation protection instruments.
• Maintain accurate technical records and documentation.
• Follow site procedures and safety regulations to ensure compliance.
• Provide technical updates and advice to customers.
• Support and mentor apprentices and new team members.
