Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc is recruiting a Systems Design Engineer for the Core Systems team in the UK (Warrington, Derby or Manchester) with hybrid working. You will define core design requirements, manage interfaces and produce evidence to support design maturity, regulatory compliance and programme milestones.

The role requires a degree in engineering or science, proven systems engineering experience in highly regulated industries, and strong communication to influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering or a scientific discipline is required.
• Experience in complex engineering or system design projects is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering concepts and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver reactor core design solutions aligned with programme objectives.
• Produce and review design documentation including requirements and substantiation reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges and integrate designs.
• Support verification, validation and regulatory alignment activities.
• Identify and manage technical risks to drive design lifecycle improvements.
