Job summary

Amentum seeks a Client-Side Construction Manager to oversee, monitor, and assure EPC contractor activities on a major nuclear project. You will head a large Client Team, coordinating with engineering, licensing, procurement, and executives to ensure safe, compliant execution.

Based mainly on site in Poland with possible UK work, you will lead a multinational, multidisciplinary team and maintain strong regulatory engagements, QA/QC processes, and risk management practices throughout the project

Qualifications

• Experience in nuclear construction, preferably including GW scale plants.
• Familiarity with nuclear construction requirements, including QA/QC and safety standards.
• Familiarity with nuclear island and conventional island construction processes.
• 15–20 years of experience in nuclear new build or regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and execution methodologies.
• Ability to identify construction risks, mitigate, and manage contractual issues.

Responsibilities

• Owner’s Oversight — Monitor EPC contractor performance and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.
• Develop and implement a workforce plan based on project demand and stakeholder input.
• Oversee development of oversight procedures and external personnel resources.
• Coordinate with nuclear regulators and authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support QA/QC governance and review inspection results and corrective actions.
• Identify risks, escalate issues, and lead mitigation planning for the Client.
• Validate contractor schedules and ensure transparent progress reporting.
• Monitor contract adherence and change management processes.
• Promote a strong nuclear safety culture on site.
• Provide clear reporting to executive leadership on progress and risks.
