Receptionist – Roxburghe House, Aberdeen

37.hours per week

The department of Palliative Medicine at Roxburghe House is delighted to advertise an exciting opportunity for a friendly and motivated individual to join our team as a receptionist. Roxburghe House is a specialist palliative medicine unit offering care to patients who have terminal conditions. Care is offered on an inpatient and outpatient basis and focuses on a holistic approach to helping patients manage their symptoms.

The successful applicants will require excellent IT, communication and organisational skills with a confident, courteous and friendly approach to patients and colleagues. Applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated, have the ability to work well as part of a team, able to provide cross cover to the department as required and have previous experience in an administration or reception role.

A high standard of verbal and written communication skills are essential as is accuracy and attention to detail and proven experience of MS office systems. Training will be provided but the successful applicants must have the ability to produce accurate work and be able to work on their own initiative. The successful post holder will provide administration support to the inpatient ward and support with outpatient clinics. As the post holder will be dealing with medical records the ability to work with sensitive and confidential information is essential.
