NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse – Band 6 for Ward 108 ECC in Renal Medicine. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a busy unit, requiring excellent leadership and communication skills. We are recruiting for Senior Staff Nurse Band 6 Staff Nurses in acute Renal Medicine – ward 108 ECC.
The post involves day and night rotation on a 12-hour shift pattern.
The post holder will have various Band 5 experience, with renal experience being an advantage.
This busy unit has 20 beds (with capacity for 4 extra spaces) and cares for renal patients admitted both electively and as emergency admissions.
We liaise with the renal dialysis unit on ward 404/405 as well as accommodating the Acute Dialysis Team within the floor.
The post holder will be required to have a genuine interest in the speciality and possess excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as confidence with IT.
The ability to provide a high standard of nursing care and be motivational and enthusiastic in supporting the team is essential.
The post holder will be flexible to meet the demands of the service, including change of shift pattern/duration at short notice.
