Job summary

Framatome UK is seeking a Nuclear Safety & Environment (NS&E) Group Lead to oversee safety, quality and staffing across the NS&E discipline in the UK. You will manage internal and external stakeholders, ensure budget alignment and drive safety culture across projects in Bristol and at Aztec West.

The role requires a Master’s degree, strong leadership, and fluency in English with French desirable. You will collaborate with HPC/SZC projects and parent company teams to deliver risk-aware, compliant

• Adequate understanding of the technical environment in which the NS&E Discipline operates.
• Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
• Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to set, achieve and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and people engagement skills.
• Team player and well-organised work style.
• Fluent in English.
• Desirable: Working level of French.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (HPC/SZC Projects, Edvance, CNEPE, HR) and external partners.
• Recruit and develop NS&E staff and partner resources in collaboration with the NS&E DM.
• Develop competencies through targeted training and tool provision; facilitate knowledge transfer between France and the UK for HPC/SZC projects.
• Ensure adherence to safety culture principles and quality benchmarks in all NS&E activities.
• Oversee planning, budgeting and work planning for NS&E scope; alert on risks and issues as needed.
