Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS is seeking an autonomous Advanced Practitioner to lead clinical practice with a strong teaching portfolio. The role emphasizes supervision, assessment, and multi-professional collaboration to deliver high-quality patient care.

Applicants should hold an MSc in advanced clinical practice (or equivalent), be a Registered Independent Non-Medical Prescriber, and maintain NMC/HCPC registration.

• Maintain an up-to-date portfolio of supervised practice in advanced clinical practice.
• Evidence of multi-professional teaching.
• Involvement in policy and practice change.
• Participate in research and audit projects.

• Management and leadership experience.
• Evidence of involvement in policy and practice change.

Communication and Relationship Skills

Essential criteria

• Ability to work within a multi-professional team, often presenting and receiving complex information.
• Ability to adapt communication styles that facilitate building honest & trusting partnerships with patients, families, & carers.

Desirable criteria

• Evidence of conflict management.

Analytical and Judgement Skills

Essential criteria

• Ability to respond to, prioritise and analyse complex undifferentiated and undiagnosed health conditions and ensure that effective interventions are actioned in a safe and timely manner.
• Participation in research and audit projects.

Desirable criteria

• Involvement in the investigation of serious clinical incidents or audit projects.
