An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Aberdeen Dental Hospital and Institute of Dentistry to the post of Senior Dental Nurse of Oral Surgery.
The successful candidates will have responsibilities for the supervising and co-ordinating of clinical activities and supporting the management team. The main duties will be to work and lead the dental nursing team within the Oral Surgery department and provide support to the University of Aberdeen BDS dental students.
You will possess a registerable qualification - NEBDN National certificate, SVQ & PDA Dental Nursing Level 3 or equivalent & an IV Sedation qualification. Have relevant clinical experience as an oral surgery Dental Nurse with a comprehensive knowledge of various oral surgery treatments and techniques and have full registration with the GDC including up to date CPD.
We will consider all types of contracts; full time & part-time to coincide with clinic opening times between Monday to Friday with a start time of 8.30am finishing at 4.30pm. Salaries are paid at Band 5.
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, leadership & IT skills are essential for this role along with a forward thinking outlook and the ability to act quickly to meet the dental patients needs.
