Pharmacy Technician Primary Care

Band 5

We have an opportunity within HMP & YOI Grampian

Full Time/Part Time Opportunities (minimum 3 days), Monday – Sunday


We are looking for enthusiastic, GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician(s) who are accredited checking technicians to join a developing health team to deliver pharmacy services to the people in Prison Health Care.


The ideal candidates will be able to work well within a team, under direction and on their own initiative. Through on-the-job support and training, successful candidates will take responsibility for ensuring safe and efficient medicines supply processes for prisoners and the health centre.


The successful candidate will support seamless care by managing supplies of medicines, dressings, and appliances for the prison population. This involves working closely with the prison healthcare team and off-site pharmacy service. The post holder will also manage pharmaceutical queries, including management of shortages, and will promote quality, cost-effective prescribing.


You may have a community, primary care, or hospital pharmacy background. Good communication, interpersonal, and time management skills are essential. A full driving license and use of a car are also essential.
