Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist, Jubilee Community Hospital Huntly

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist in Huntly
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team based at Jubilee Community Hospital Huntly. This post is within a well-established multi-disciplinary team covering the Huntly and Upper Marr catchment areas. The post holder will provide full assessment and treatment for hospital patients in Rothieden ward and within community rehabilitation, providing a priority response to prevent hospital admission and support discharge using a rehab and enablement model.
There is a wide variety of conditions and complex needs in the patient population. Multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working is essential for seamless community care thus the post holder will require excellent communication and organisational skills, and be able to demonstrate relevant experience with a wide variety of clinical conditions. Experience in caseload management and physical rehabilitation in the community is desirable.
Supervision and allocation of work to an OT support worker and training of students are integral parts of the job, as is service development within the area and the Health and Social Care Partnership Teams. We offer regular support, supervision, CPD and development opportunities in line with KSF.
A band 5 – band 6 run through may be considered depending on competency.
A full clean UK driving licence and a car available for business use is essential.
