NQ Solicitor – Procurement | Belfast

A leading commercial law firm in Belfast is seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join its top-ranked Procurement team.

This is a rare opportunity for a newly qualified lawyer to specialise in a growing and intellectually stimulating area of law, advising on high-profile public and utilities procurement projects across Northern Ireland and beyond. The successful candidate will work with an experienced team advising public sector bodies, utilities, and private sector bidders on complex procurement strategies and challenges.

Key responsibilities:

  • Advising on the full lifecycle of public procurement processes, including compliance with UK and EU regulations

  • Assisting with drafting tender documents, evaluation criteria, and contract award procedures

  • Supporting clients on procurement risk, challenges, and disputes

  • Collaborating with colleagues across commercial, projects, and dispute resolution teams

Candidate profile:

  • Recently qualified (2024 or 2025) solicitor in Northern Ireland

  • Completion of a corporate seat during your training contract is essential
