Job summary

Sellick Partnership is working with a highly regarded Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked law firm in Stoke-on-Trent to appoint an NQ–3 PQE Private Client Solicitor. You will advise a broad range of private clients on wills, probate, trusts, LPAs and related tax planning, with supervision as needed.

This role offers hybrid working, high-quality work, structured training and clear career progression within a supportive, collaborative Private Client team.

Qualifications

• Applicants are solicitors who are Newly Qualified up to 3 years' PQE.
• Private Client experience gained during training contract or post-qualification is welcome.
• They should have strong technical ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise a broad range of private clients on wills and estate planning.
• Handle probate and estate administration, LPAs, and trust creation/administration.
• Advise on inheritance tax and lifetime planning for high-net-worth clients.
• Manage own matters with supervision and build strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with the wider Private Client team and contribute to BD activities.

The Role

You'll be advising a broad range of private clients on a varied caseload, with responsibilities including:

• Wills and estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Trust creation and administration
• Court of Protection matters
• Inheritance Tax and succession planning
• Advising high-net-worth individuals and families on lifetime planning
• Managing your own matters with appropriate supervision
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Delivering a high standard of client care
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Private Client team
• Contributing to business development and networking activities where appropriate

About You
