Job summary

Eversheds Sutherland in the UK is seeking an NQ Associate for its Regulatory and Investigations team. You will handle investigations across financial services, sanctions, AML, anti-corruption, and fraud, working with leading partners on national and international matters.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background and legal training in disputes/investigations
• NQ to 2 years’ post-qualification experience with exposure to disputes
• Proactive, motivated lawyer with flexibility to handle a wide variety of matters
• Experience of providing first-rate client service
• Exposure to business development activities and a good understanding of how to win work
• Strong communication skills to build effective relationships with clients
• International or cross-border experience would be a bonus

Responsibilities

• Represent clients on investigations including financial services regulatory investigations, insurance, financial crime (sanctions, AML, anti-bribery and corruption and fraud) and public inquiries
• Work with partners and senior lawyers on disputes and investigations
• Engage with clients and colleagues across the business and contribute to business development
• Take ownership of smaller matters and develop expertise over time
