Job summary

Eversheds Sutherland in the UK is seeking a Newly Qualified Associate to join our Regulatory and Investigations team across regional offices including Leeds. You will work on investigations for national and global clients, under the guidance of partners, with exposure to financial institutions, tech clients and more.

The role offers a path to specialise over time in a supportive, high-performance environment, with opportunities to develop cross-border expertise and contribute to business

Qualifications

• Strong academic background and legal training, ideally in disputes and investigations for commercial clients.
• NQ - 2 years’ post-qualification experience with exposure to a range of disputes.
• Experience of providing first rate client service.
• Exposure to business development activities and a good understanding of how to win work.
• Strong communication skills to build effective relationships with existing and new clients.
• International or cross-border experience would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients on a broad range of investigations, including financial services regulatory matters and product liability.
• Work with partners and senior lawyers on large cases and also manage smaller standalone matters.
• Engage with clients and colleagues across the business and contribute to business development.
• Collaborate within teams of lawyers on cross-functional disputes and investigations.
• Develop expertise over time in specialist areas within a high-performance environment.
