Job description

Location: East Finchley

Days: Monday – Friday

Hours: 1pm-7pm (Term Time), 8am-6pm (Holiday)

Salary: £400 Net a week averaged out for the whole year

Start Date: July 2021

Children: 12 and 10 years old

Driver Required

Two lovely well-behaved children, a girl aged 12 and a boy aged 10, living in East Finchley are looking for a caring, bubbly person as a nanny.

Their daughter attends Northbridge school in Hampstead, and their son attends Heathside Prep, also in Hampstead village.

During school times, you would be required to come to their house, cook an evening meal for the children, pick them up, assist with homework, and keep them busy and entertained until the parents get home from work. Therefore, term time hours are 1pm-7pm every day.

During holidays, the hours are full time from 8am to 6pm. Overall, the hours would be considered full time throughout the year.

This role is open to someone who wants to be part of a warm, loving family, and who is flexible and open-minded. Travel may be required. You would be expected to engage the children, keep them entertained, and ensure they are having fun. A car is available for your use, so driving is essential.

You would plan playdates, camps, and activities during holidays. Homework needs to be considered and planned for every day, especially as their son is starting the 11+ exams and their daughter is revising for exams; constant input is needed. They also want a nanny who can encourage downtime by reading together or playing outside where possible.

While they have a cleaner, some light help around the house and various jobs related to running the home would be expected.

This is an exciting and challenging role that requires a lot of planning and thought. Communication with the children and parents is key to the role.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Enhanced DBS check
  2. First aid certificate
  3. UK references
