We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated NPPV3 cleared AWS Platform/DevOps Engineer to join our team.

About the job

Job Type: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Location: 2-3 days a week from Solihull with occasional travel to Croydon based on business needs.

About the Role:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will create an environment for your multidisciplinary team to succeed, fostering a culture of learning and transparency. You will be part of a major digital transformation program for government services.

You will act as a servant leader, adopting agile/lean tools and removing obstacles to delivery, promoting a culture that integrates development and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality, maintainable code with an automation-first approach.
• Provide insight into DevOps issues with strong technical expertise.
• Adapt quickly to DevOps culture and practices.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to drive outcomes.
• Manage technology changes, issues, and escalations until resolved.
• Lead by example, demonstrating servant leadership and fostering team culture.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience with AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.) with a focus on security.
• Expertise in AWS networking, Terraform, Vagrant, and automation in a 24/7 environment.
• Experience with Jaspersoft, SQL performance tuning, scripting, LDAP, Jenkins, Docker, monitoring tools, mail servers, and security tools.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience with Proxmox, Windows GPO, network configurations, and security.

Qualifications:

• Experience in delivering DevOps projects, preferably in government or consultancy sectors.
• AWS or Azure certification preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Legal right to work in the UK and ability to obtain SC clearance.
