Job description

We have a brand-new opportunity for a passionate and dynamic Plant and Safety Trainer/Assessor to join our team.

Role Overview

You'll be at the forefront of delivering plant and safety assessments, training, and testing, ensuring our business runs smoothly and safely. Your expertise will empower plant operators to achieve excellence under the NPORS scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver plant training and assessments across the country, predominantly in the Home Counties.
  2. Perform training, assessment, and certification of plant operators under the NPORS scheme.
  3. Contribute to creating cutting-edge competency assessments and teaching resources.
  4. Develop and maintain essential documentation for enrolment, learner progression, monitoring, and feedback.
  5. Ensure delivery meets DfE and ESFA requirements.
  6. Adapt teaching methods to cater to individual learners’ needs, providing additional support where necessary.
  7. Maintain Learning and Development quality assurance processes by monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating all aspects of courses, implementing actions for improvement.
  8. Adhere to awarding organisation or partner card scheme requirements related to external quality assurance (EQA) within the curriculum area.
  9. Fully engage and comply with both internal and external audits.
  10. Implement good practices in Education, Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Child Protection, and GDPR policies.
  11. Ensure all personal data is collected, stored, and processed in line with GDPR and company policies.
  12. Support Social Value initiatives, particularly around industry attraction.
  13. Represent us at industry working groups related to plant training.
  14. Perform additional duties as required to support the business.
Candidate Profile

We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in plant operations.
  • Assessor Qualification: TAQA or equivalent - V1 or IQA (Internal Quality Assurance).
  • CPCS Plant Trainer/Tester Qualified. Utility experience.
  • Familiarity with construction partner card schemes including CPCS, NPORS, CITB, and Lantra.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, proficiency in Office 365 and digital tools, along with a full and valid UK Driving license.
  • A Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent) is highly desirable but not essential.
